Matt O'Connor In...Mauger Out
He will begin his new role at Leicester in early April, subject to visa.
Aaron Mauger, the current head coach, will leave the club after the Premiership fixture against Northampton Saints this Saturday.

TV doesn't seem happy: "With 5 games to go, really?? We don't know how good we've got it! #biggerpicture #gutted" straight off Twitter

Re: Matt O'Connor In...Mauger Out
MOC is to be head coach, from the report
"Matt's strengths are in his work with players on the training pitch and we are making changes to our organisational structure to enable him to focus solely on the success of the team.'
Not sure what the changes to the organisation will be? No DOR?

Tigers statement clearly states he's coming in as head coach. I didn't want thim back but now the question is who will be the DOR he answers to/works with?

Re: Matt O'Connor In...Mauger Out
Very surprised by this news and feel really sorry for Mauger.
I am not a fan of MOC but I am a huge Tigers fan, so will get behind Matt and the whole team and just hope that the Board know what they are doing!!

With the reputation MO'C has - boring play and foul-mouthed - this will cost us players.fentiger wrote:TV doesn't seem happy: "With 5 games to go, really?? We don't know how good we've got it! #biggerpicture #gutted" straight off Twitter

I don't think there will be a DOR. He is in charge of the team and all other things will be dealt with by the board.
Very, very, very, very, very, very disappointed with this decision!

Re: Matt O'Connor In...Mauger Out
So the Wallaby beat the Kiwi and the Springbok to become DOR. Welcome back MOC. Let's hope he can weave some O'Connor magic for what's left of this season. I do hope he retains Geordan Murphy as his No. 2.
Re: Matt O'Connor In...Mauger Out
Incorrect. He beat them to the head coach job. The same job he did 4 years ago. There will be no DOR.
