Always found Flatman pretty good, honest and has a good sense of humour when I've spoken with him.
And one of the very, very few commentators who knows what is going on in the front row.

As for referees.... :smt017

Sorry don't agree with posters about Flatman, A boring individual who was mediocre as a player and even worse as a pundit.

Just as well opinions vary.

Noddy, be warned that as you have an opinion that is different to everyone else, it means you are an idiot, delusional and have no idea about rugby- apparently.

I quite like Flatman as a pundit but I respect your opinion. If only others could respect others opinions even if they disagree with them! Of course, having a conversation and putting their opinion across is fine but to dismiss others opinion because it is the polar opposite isn't right.

I really like Flatman as a pundit, perceptive with a dry sense of humour, but I would not want him as a DOR....which is what this thread is about!

Thank goodness Jake White is out of the options as he looks to be off to Japan.

Yes Ellis 9 I'm the fool who knew the short list of candidates, yes I'm the fool who predicted that we would win the Anglo/Welsh trophy, I'm also the fool who is predicting that we will finish 4th in the premiership. On top of this I'm the fool who is 90% right in my predictions over the last year. 9 out of 10 isn't bad on a school report.

Well Tigerburnie and others hold your horses we don't have to wait too long and then we'll see who is right and who is wrong. If I were a betting man my money would be on Aaron Mauger to become DOR and Geordan Murphy promoted to Head coach.

Well Noddy you got this bet spectacularly wrong.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

Which list was he on then ?

Time to shut this thread down, before Noddy makes any more of his informed, incorrect, predictions!

Think I'd rather have Noddy than Matt O Connor

Dunks 43 yes it is true that I posted that but I did that in error I meant to say Jake White was not even considered for the job not MOC. Who I knew was already on the short list. Apologies for the confusion.
