Bill W
Just like to say that it is a year to the day that Bill W. died. Still miss him and his laconic humour.
Re: Bill W
+1. Can't believe it's a year. I know we gave a very active forum, but I really miss Bill's contributions. Never met him but great bloke.
Hope his family know the high regard we held/hold him in.

I'm certain they do.
Like many posters, here, I miss his curmudgeonly humour.
I'm sure he would be still telling us to KEEP THE FAITH

Mrs G said only last week that BillW would have seen off anyone threatenong to chuck in their season ticket.
My greatest regret was arranging to meet him for a smoke behind the Crumbie some years ago, and getting waylaid and then confused by Brian Moore cadging a fag. never did get round to meeting the great man.

Re: Bill W
Can I just agree with other posters although Bill W and I saw things differently he was a pure gentleman of the old school and is sadly missed.

Sure they do, rightly so.CJ wrote:Hope his family know the high regard we held/hold him in.
Rest peacefully Bill W.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.
Re: Bill W
I hadn't seen him for some time since a) moving from the terrace and b) giving up smoking. We were smoking partners at half time for some time. Could be a mischievous pain in the backside when I was a moderator but was a gentleman in real life.
I wonder what he'd have made of Tigers' 2017 thus far.

He'd have looked at it philosophically saying that all clubs have their ups and downs and that the true supporter would stick with the club through thick and thin.Iain wrote:

Re: Bill W
What was his real name? Anyone know?
I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.
Re: Bill W
R.I.P Bill Woodward you were a true star on this board for many a year, I like many others miss your input certainly right now during this period of change.
