You mean another defeat and more gnashing of teeth and throwing season tickets away! :smt003

I am going to come out and say I am gay (the proper meaning of the word). I will be there tomorrow in a happy mood and clapping - Oh damn I'm a happy clapper :smt038 :smt041

Not sure what to make of this game.

On the one hand it's a tournament that nobody really gives a toss about. Does anyone honestly know without checking whether we're doing well in it? Anyone know who is in our group? A few changes - priority feels like it should be hope to see a few players stick their hands up for consideration in the league and to see a bit of heart - an encouraging performance. That should be more important than the result.

On the other hand... in the current climate people won't see past "six defeats in a row" if we lose. Regardless of context. Plus it's Saints in front of a packed crowd. And I *think* we could still be on for a semi final if we get a win. And some silverware might be nice.

Good to see Catchpole back. I was told he was out for the season, so that's a surprise. Balmain and Croft too: remember them?

It's a home game against Saints. Regardless of the competition/form nothing is more important than the result.

I am not saying it is a bad thing, I just haven't heard of them, if they are good enough I would be happy to see them in the first team, just don't know them.

It won't be tight, we'll get stuffed IMO.

OK, I'm going to say the unspeakable - Cockers would've sent out most of our best available XV as a statement contra-Saints and a chance for redemption. There are some things bigger than 'development'. We are going to get well beaten IMO.

You think? Given that he always saw it and used it as a development tournament and an opportunity to give game time to those who need it, I'm not so sure it would have been much different.

Don't forget Geordan is in charge for this one.

Good to hear we are going to get stuffed!
Its a competition that is being used to bring thru the youngsters as it should. Its a chance for those teams that don't normally see silverware(other than in the canteen trays)to take the high ground for once. Don't bleat about it support the team!

Quite right! Putting out the '1st XV' would look very desperate and would be counter-productive imho.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

I think its a far stronger side than Cockerill has usually fielded in this competition - its just that the Saints side looks even stronger than ours - especially front and back row.
