We should put out our strongest team available (which isn't saying much)wormus wrote:Oh no it's the Referee we had at Racing92 Ben Whitehouse on Saturday Ugh!
But what team will we put out? or what team are we able to put out prising players off the treatment table?
Will Marcos Ayerza, Telusa Veainu,Catchpole, Bryant, Croft?, Rizzo be back. Is it too soon for JPP? I expect Harrison or H Thacker to Captain. Kitchener, Wells & Charlie Thacker + Worth, Evans & Development / Academy to feature. This may be our only chance @ EPNS silverware!

Sorry I have to agree when I watched him, he looked very overweight lots of puppy fat and seemed to be extremely unfit, in a race he didn't seem to be able to catch a coldMark62 wrote:Freddie Tuilagi is not nor will he ever be good enough for 1st team rugby, Anglo Welsh or not

Got this by email:
..........as a way of saying THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT:
• Bhangra drummers and dancers in the stadium in the run up to the match, with drummers leading chants throughout the match.
• Bongo cam and Scratch cam on the big screen.
• Flag runners.
Arrgh!!!!
Bhangra led chants during the game and Sales infamous bongo cam.
Anyone remember the embarrassment of the flag runners last time?
Major barrel scraping IMO. Don't mind pre game Bhangra but not during the match.
Tigers: You can thank me by cancelling the tacky entertainment and providing decent bar srvice.

Agreed - give the pub team from last week a rest and let others have a chance!Spicer wrote:I don't really want any of the pathetic players from last week playing this. Given how bad our team is playing I think this this should be used as a chance for the reserves/youngesters to show why they should be playing in the premiership after the 2 cup matches.
I'd go
Cillers Thacker Betts
Maksymiw Barrow
Croft Fr Tuilagi Evans
Kitto
Burns/Bryant
Smith
Thacker
Yawayawa Worth Olowofela
Subs: McGuigan, Ayerza, Bateman, Wells, Owen, Harrison, Burns/Bryant/hardwick, Olowofela(The other one)
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
Re: Tigers v Saints AWC Saturday 28th Jan.
Double, Triple Arhggg.. I will give Welford Road a wide berth! Becoming an offoot of India are we? May be entertaining in another context but not Rugby. Sad days!Tyzot wrote:Got this by email:

No issue with the drummers before and after the game. Dammit, I'd even accept half time.
But during the game!? No. Stop this nonsense.

Agree entirely, but not for the same reason. Give the senior team a week away from the pressure. Maybe get them together for some non-rugby related activity to rebuild some trust and belief.G.K wrote:Agreed - give the pub team from last week a rest and let others have a chance!Spicer wrote:I don't really want any of the pathetic players from last week playing this. The priority is top six and top four is still a possibility. The senior players we have (despite injuries - and we have some due back) are capable. The coaches need to get them playing as a unit again.
The kend contingent love the bhangra drummers....perhaps the club shop should start selling branded Tabla

Re: the Bhangra drummers - if I recall correctly, we haven't lost when they attended and played before and during the game.

Please , please no. I'm not a kill joy, but the majority of people that will be coming to Welford Rd want to see the Rugby not a carny or a version of X factor.WirralExile wrote:Re: the Bhangra drummers - if I recall correctly, we haven't lost when they attended and played before and during the game.

Iain - I didn't get to the City Ground for the semi, so was basing my statement on our Welford Road games. Thanks for pointing this out.
Like the man in orthopaedic shoes - I stand corrected.
