I really, really hope that is nonsense. Because if it is how the board are making decisions about the future direction of the club (particularly given the current injury list. It isn't the coaches fault there is - allegedly - no money for injury dispensation) then we are doomed. Either he has the confidence of the board or he doesn't. Win or lose, one result won't change that.

Sorry Kend some injuries are caused by the wrong style of play and sometimes overtraining. This is entirely within the remit of the coach who dictates the style of play to be carried out on the field and the coach is also responsible for the training schedule.

Noddy, I would disagree with you in part. How do you avoid fractured cheeks, concussion, shoulder injuries? This is generally a result of big hits ad tackles / foul play.
The players go through a warm up and some have been known to be withdrawn.
Style of play in my opinion does not contribute greatly to the injuries.

All this talk of logic in what is a results based business defies logic itself. The root causes of Tiger's ailments will be different things to different people. One cannot avoid injury but there seems to be a malaise the undercuts this issue. It was similar when Deano "departed". I recall filthy night. I recall getting kicked off the park by Stade Francais. Little chap, played for Italy. I also recall having no recognised kicker fit. Jaco I think played 10. Stimmo had gone or was injured. Anyway, someone can put some flesh on these bones. It's been a long time.
All the business beads will need is a excuse. After all it is insanity to persist with the same experiment and expect a different result.

A little reflection on the Board's record.....
Got rid of Barb Dwyer who gave structures a bit of a kick
Deano - got rid of when results went south after some silverware, went on to improve Quins, then after the ban picked Newcastle up and has now produced a relegation team that people come to watch there that is competing mid-table
Pat Howard - good call, some silverware
Loffreda - wrong guy at the wrong time
Cockers - righted the ship
Meyer - divided opinions but nothing to suggest the future, hardly there when gone
Cockers - righted the ship and won some silverware, now at the back end of what he calls under-resourcing and some poor and some genius buys.

Overall - three good DORs, some dubious appointments and calls. So the odds of them making the right decision (in hindsight) = 50/50 IMO.

As I recall he was always Number 2 to Deano.
I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

That's what I thought, correct if wrong. My memory is a bit rubbish right now. :smt009

The talk around the ground today is if we lose Cockerill is gone and Lancaster has already been contacted and will come in. Be careful what you wish for!

Whilst I am happy for all to voice their opinions, I am fed up with this :censored: now.

The Board will decide. Let's just leave off a great Tiger for a bit.
