Commentator at Stains match has just said Malinder must be seething after what happened to Callum Clark last week. Surely he means ' what Callum Clark did last weekend'.

Bristol are usually winning the scrum. But are dreadful under the high ball. Locky in the bin. Bristol immediately get a try by Hawkins. 13-21
Thacker on for Evans, Manu for Betham and Kitto for Harrison

How ironic that both Genge and Hawkins should score!

Pretty lacklustre from Tigers. Still handling error lack of concentration and urgency.

Final score 21-16
Very scrappy game. I now fully understand why Bristol are bottom with no wins. Both sides were poor and had loads of errors. Bristol won most of the scrum penalties. Interestingly one of our best scrums was when Locky was binned and Thacker was in the front row.
We stole their line-out a lot, we also messed ours up a few times.
A lot of our players made a lot of errors and they had a very up and down performance, Slater, Harrison, Betham, Bateman and Burns to name a few.
I'm happy we won but that was a bad performance against a poor side.
The man of the match was Worth, was solid and pretty dangerous. (Apart from the slightly skewed kick at the end).

Glad we won. that's all we needed, and getting a bad game out of our system with 4 points.
Was in Brizzle all day from 12 then Mrs G took a turn for the worse when we were in Sainsburys Ashton Gate (she has virtually no immune system). By kick-off we were entering Brum, she having slept for two hours. :smt009

Tigers were terrible in the second half, we could easily have lost the game in the last 10 minutes. Wigglesworth yellow carded 2 from Bristol and McCaffrey defending the line. Dropped passes by Betham, Thacker in back row tried to go forward until the last few minutes when Tom youngs went off.Burns missed 1 penalty @ 4 mins and Thompstone's conversion.
We were not using the backs in the second half and failing to run with speed on to the ball. TBP missed, never looked on and a LBP to Bristol. :smt010
