Will have to wait and see what state Bristol is in! Rain scheduled to die out mid-Tuesday, so hopefully ground will be fit (and my aunt's road no longer flooded).

I think we should put a strong-ish team out, they have shown some decent performances. Id go with:
1:Genge
2:Youngs
3:Bateman
4:Slater
5:Kitchener
6:Owen
7:Evans
8:Hamilton
9:Kitto
10:Burns
11:Catchpole
12:Williams
13:Roberts
14:Thompstone
15:Worth

16:Thacker
17:Brugnara
18:Cillers/Balmain/Betts
19:Wells/Maksymiw
20:Fred Jnr
21:Harrison
22:Bryant
23:Tait

I'd go with the maximum strength team. This is where a bonus point could be found, but first of all the 4 points need securing. Play like we did on Sunday and that will be done.

Seems that we will be without Ayerza and Croft
And maybe Slater and Tait

Others who are def out as far as I'm aware.
Rizzo, Balmain, Barrow, Maksymiw, Mike Williams, Catchpole, Smith,
Maybe's
Manu
And likely away with internationals
Cole, Logo, Youngs, JPP, Veainu

If worse comes to worse and we are missing those 4 would go with.
1) Genge
2) Youngs
3) Bateman
4) Fitzgerald
5) Kitchener
6) Hamilton
7) Evans
8) McCaffrey
9) Harrison
10) Burns
11) Thompstone
12) Williams
13) Roberts
14) Betham
15) Worth

16) Thacker
17) Brugnara/Cilliers
18) Cilliers/Betts
19) Wells
20) O'Connor
21) Kitto
22) Bryant/Manu
23) Manu/Brady

Evans has to start. Bristol are the worst team in the league, should be playing games like these.

Whilst Bristol may be the worst team in the league, their performance away at Bath prevented a bonus point defeat and they came away with a losing bonus point. They show plenty of commitment at the breakdown and showec confidence in trying to okay an expansive game. Since Robinson has gone there has been an improvement. Five points is not a given result.....this could be a banana skin for Tigers......happy with a win!

Think the worst thing to do is underestimate Bristol, these will be valuable league points, no room for mess ups.

Manu maybe back, they say 'next few weeks' but if not this potentially easy fixture it may be derby day the following week against saints.

I totally agree that Bristol shouldn't be underestimated, we don't need wholesale changes to the team. But if we don't play Evans in games like these then he isn't going to stick around for long.

I think that's about right. I'd be tempted to bring Brady in for either Betham of Thompstone to give one of them a break. At prop, with no Ayerza, I'd like to see Cilliers and Betts on the bench with Bateman doing his "Austin Healey of the front row" impression and covering LH (Betts was warming up as the reserve on Sunday). That said, the more pragmatic solution would probably be to bring Brugnara along.

Have we written Balmain off completely then? Surely he rates above some of those mentioned!

Can't play when he is injured. Same with Catchpole.

:smt023 ...the way he's playing - and improving - I rather suspect he'll be a genuine contender for the starting 7 slot for next season at the latest. (You could argue he's there now!). If we can keep him and O'Connor both fighting it out for the shirt in the big games - we'll be well set!
