Re: Tigers v Glasgow
Hmmm, not sure a rocket up them at HT can sort out the breakdown defence. Yes Glasgow are grabbing and holding every chance they can, but we are still leaving a hole at the back of the ruck and they've gone through it a few times (and scored from one of them )

Yet we get pinged for crossing when Thompstone stands his ground.Tiger_in_Birmingham wrote:BT commentary pointing out the illegal clearing out of men not part of the ruck.
Rugby is easier when you play like american football and can clear a chanel for the ball carrier
Couldn't make it up.
Glad BT are pointing it out, maybe they can tell the Ref at HT.
That said, we switched off big time after we'd scored our try.
Commented on the same here, don't think contact was made with eye/eye area etc but maybe that was just luck rather than judgement - Gregor Townsend used that as reasoning for thinking toomua's red should have been yellow - got lucky, fact is the player landed on his back, hence Yellow. How he landed on back and not head, luck or otherwise, doesn't come into it.benj98 wrote:Did anyone else see the hands in the face of Kitch after he shoved that guy over?
Otherwise we're going down the road of players getting penalised for things that might have happened, but didn't.

Re: Tigers v Glasgow
Sack the defence coach due to repeated lack of point defence around the ruck, RC and Mauger decide they can sort out the poor defence, fast wind 2 weeks later and tonight we have already given away 2 identical tries due to no point defence around the ruck. So Tigers are serious about Europe are we
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
Re: Tigers v Glasgow
But fail to see the ref is wee krankies love child can he see players been held down, back?
Re: Tigers v Glasgow
First up tackling is really poor. Tigers really need to shape up in the second half.
Re: Tigers v Glasgow
Priority for second half must be to shut that happy clapper up who's sat next to the mic! PLEASE any tigers fans at the ground, save our ears from insane clapping at each Glasgow ball pass.

The defence is there, but it is being taken out as 'clearing' when they're blatently not in the ruck - Youngs should be in the referee's ear about itsapajo wrote:Sack the defence coach due to repeated lack of point defence around the ruck, RC and Mauger decide they can sort out the poor defence, fast wind 2 weeks later and tonight we have already given away 2 identical tries due to no point defence around the ruck. A lot of the clearing out is croc-rolls - some are very close to being by the neck as well for both sides. It doesn't take much for one to ride up and then you're in a whole world of trouble

It seems our attack has caught the Defence bug......
Slow and being caught easily by Glasgow's defensive line.
C'Mon lads, you're better than this!

Too many fancy switches and loops and not enough going to the gain line.WhitecapTiger wrote:It seems our attack has caught the Defence bug......

Re: Tigers v Glasgow
Well played Glasgow, that was a great attack, one end to the other. Deserved a try.

This is starting to become really painful viewing now, can't think of a single positive from this so far

Why not chip the on rushing defence?Tiger_in_Birmingham wrote:Too many fancy switches and loops and not enough going to the gain line.WhitecapTiger wrote:It seems our attack has caught the Defence bug......

Re: Tigers v Glasgow
I don't think I have ever seen such a poor performing Tigers squad as I have this season. Can't attack and can't defend. So frustrating watching them play. They get a little bit of pressure put on them and they absolutely crumble.
Come on you tigers!
Re: Tigers v Glasgow
Outclassed. We are second rate. Push over now will just add insult injury.
Wooly off..........how can this get any worse?
