Iain - as a forum regular I am surprised you have missed out on the fact that somehow Jumbo manages to get the team announcement before anyone else/it is released on the web, every week!!!

As Redcap says he is Cockers in disguise :smt002

Anyway far more importantly it looks the best side available, so pleased Veainu is at 15 and surely Betham must hit form soon!

Just need the forwards to play their A game and we should have a good chance.

With Barrow and Manu injured, this seems to be the '1st XV' with a good bench. We can't afford a 'weak link' anywhere but 12 & 13 is crucial imho - starters and replacements. Agree that the back row looks tasty.

My prayers have been and Mat Tait is not at 15.

I look forward to watching Veainu step and dance round the whole of the Bath team

Personally with the backline , I would like to see TV at fullback with Thompstone coming in. With no returns from the sickbay, I would leave the other backs alone and give them a chance.

Ah. No I'd never spotted that!

I'm usually busy at team announcement o'clock so I never pick up on that.

We need the pack to win their battles and to starve the Bath backs of ball.
It's a strong looking Tigers starting 8, with a better looking balance to the back row - just missing the likes of Mulipola, Cilliers and Barrow on the bench.
Going to need Williams and Betham to be on their game.
Should be a cracker!

Davy Wilson suddenly leaving for Newcastle is a bit of a surprise!

The pack have to do their stuff and the whole team avoid coughing up the ball to deprive the Bath side of ball.
It will be a problem for Tigers backs to do a lot of damage without true centres.
Hopefully the two international centres we have will be fit shortly.

yes but Tim Wigglesworthless is on the touch :smt015 and it appears the old silver fox Goodlife has retired to walk his guide dog :smt045
Tigers MUST win this game as Bath are without Auterac, Charteris, Sisi, Priestland, Denton, Faletau, Louw. Matawalu etc.
So come on Tigers lets hear some noise from the stands :smt026

I like moving Veaniu to full back.
Do we have a hatred of centers? Is that why we don't play any of them?

Let's just hope he can defend and take the aerial bombs Ford will try out on him. Tait is a better defender and IMHO better under the high ball and make no mistake Bath will put him under pressure.
