Ex Tigers Premiership Squad 2016/17

Post by physiodan »

With all the moaning of why did we let them go I thought I would create a team of Leicester Leaves XV of recent years still plying their trade in the premiership (bar 3 exceptions but still in England).

Not a bad team but all in all I think we would cope.

Aguero
Hawkins
Brookes
Parling
De Chaves
Pearce
Salvi
Waldrom
Young
Ford
Tuilagi
Bowden
Goneva
Varndell
Bell

Briggs
Harris (London Scottish)
Bower (London Welsh)
Crane
Gibson
Steele (London Irish)
Twelvetrees
Purdue

I should have added that it would be a good game to watch with every man wanting to prove a point. Feisty.

More pertinently, which of those would be obvious choices in our first choice 23 if they were still with the club?

Perry Humphreys now looks to be a very good prospect. He scored a great finishers try for Wuss against Bath yesterday.

To add to his Try of the Week nominee against Gloucester the week before.

Was he this good when he was sitting in our A side? He's been outstanding in his short time at Wuss. Could just be good form rather than genuine class, but it seems strange if he showed that kind of form in the Academy that he was never given a chance at Tigers.

Sebastian De Chaves and Tommy Bell are at London Irish.

I couldn't give a toss about Ex Tigers, they are exactly that Ex. I support the team and the players that are here and whether a player is pushed or goes of their own accord they are gone. People need to get over it

Who is the Bower at London Welsh? I'm pretty sure Ryan is still at Worcester. Happy to be updated if I'm behind the times.

The word you're looking for is accurate although I'll accept correct or right.
