Fats are a type of nutrient that you get from your diet. It is essential to eat some fats, though it is also harmful to eat too many.

The fats you eat give your body energy that it needs to work properly. During exercise, your body uses calories from carbohydrates you have eaten. But after 20 minutes, exercise then depends on calories from fat to keep you going.

You also need fat to keep your skin and hair healthy. Fat also helps you absorb vitamins A, D, E, and K, the so-called fat-soluble vitamins. Fat also fills your fat cells and insulates your body to help keep you warm.

I'm sorry, what was that?

They should make a proper statement with all the facts clarified, and we would no longer need this speculation.

Embarrassing situations are usually better when dealt with head on, not "swept under the table".
In defence of the club it's a bank holiday and come out of the blue.
I'm sure they want to deal with it but it's very bad timing.
They should not have been drinking alcohol at this time of the year IMO and should not have been eating that type of food at this time of the year IMO either, not if they want to compete with the likes of Saracens this season, someone is responsible for that!
The actions themselves although they may be considered minor or not depending on individuals views are a bad example, despite the image on the club etc those responsible have let their coaches down most of all, they were given an inch and took a mile!
Are you referring to the Sarries who sent their players on a team building excercise to the Oktober Bierfest in Munich one year, and which was more important than sending their captain to the HEC launch. Not saying any Sarries player misbehaved, but partaking of alcohol, and probably junk food, is not an iredeemable offence for a top athlete. I saw the two sprint canoeists who won gold at the Olympics say that they would diverge from their "specialist" diet from time to time as a "treat".

Deal with the players for their behaviour for going behind the counter and whatever else happened, but not for drinking and eating" junk" food, assuming it is not a regular occurrence.

Cheers. :smt023
Could you tell us all about the different types of fats and in relation to before and after exercise and those who don't exercise.
Also salt and sugar and the different effects.
Hydration ideas would be good after strenuous exercise.
Also should I rest and recover after strenuous exercise or go out clubbing all night?
It would be a big help if you could tell me about digestion and in relation to future digestion and meal plans and also the effects in relation to before and after exercise.
Anything would be good, I'm always keen to learn! :smt023

Be careful TBD, you are sounding like a 21st Century nanny state bully which you hate so much. Luckily, it doesn't bother me but others may not like what you are doing to me.

I have proven I am right with facts but still you choose to ignore it as you don't want to be seen to be wrong.

If I can't get my fats within a specified time period should I just jump over the counter and get it?
I could really do with your help on this as you have confused me between what is right and wrong!

Oh dear, you really should read things properly

Right: how Tigers have dealt with the incident.
Right: everyone needs fatty foods
Right: people don't need to over react on a minor incident
Right: players paid for food

Wrong: players helped themselves to food behind the counter

I have said all the above from the very start

Yes, yes.
It would be good if you could elaborate further on the best diets for professional players.
I could take your expertise into the amateur game when I go and really help them get better with your help.
Also some advice on eating times in relation to exercise, is 4am the best time of day to eat a maccies, do they do breakfast at that time or is it still the evening menu or both and if so which option is best? :smt023

You have embarassed yourself for 6 pages.

If a pro player needs more fat in their diet they will eat more natural yoghurt, nuts, cook with more coconut oil etc. Ask Haskell on Facebook how many MacDonalds he has eaten in last 15 years, I'm sure he will reply in outrage within minutes.

Secondly, what they did was theft. They took products they didnt own and didn't pay for them. People have been criminally convicted for scanning food through at Tescos as the wrong item deliberately and charged in court.

Just because Tigers paid for it afterwards doesn't stop it being a crime. The players who did it could quite easily be convicted criminally of theft.

You are acting as if alcohol is an excuse for a crime, it isn't.

If any professional lawyer, accountant or doctor acted as if they had done they would be disbarred from the relevant body. People have been disbarred from ICAEW (Accountant's body) for jumping in a fountain in central London to celebrate the end of exams.

A cover up by the club smacks of cowardice and hypocrisy after all the whinging about the salary cap.

The best diets for them is a balanced diet. Meat, vegetables, pasta, potatoes and occasionally fat foods.
The occasional 4am meal/snack will not affect athletes as they will have high metabolisms and exercises regularly.
I have no idea what McDonalds serve at that time as I have never been in there at 4am and very rarely use McDonalds anyway.

Good luck with your ventures into amateur rugby. I don't think you'll enjoy it as you will come across plenty of banter which you will probably interpret as bullying.

You're incorrect. The players themselves paid for the food.

Even if that was true, paying after the transaction was meant to have occurred was still theft.

If you walk out of Selfridges with a shirt and get caught by a security guard, then offer to pay 2 mins after the transaction should have occurred, it is still theft.

Get a grip and admit you are wrong

Actually you are wrong. It isn't theft until the item/s have been taken from the premises. The players didn't leave until they had paid for their food therefore they cannot be in trouble for theft.

Do you think the maccies staff should be charged with wasting police time?

No I don't. You're getting petty now.

Again, all I said was a fact. It isn't theft until the items are taken from the building. You then make a pathetic statement about wasting police time.
