One man doesn't make a team though.
Re: Money where your mouth is time
I thought it was fourth and Cockers, Cohen, AM, Smurf, the whole coaching team and the Board had to go. As well as a few stewards and groundstaff.Doghashadhisday wrote:Based on the majority of views we will finish 3rd. This is simply not good enough and Cockers must be sacked now.

Re: Money where your mouth is time
As one who has been a bit of a "darksider" until last season, I seem to be looking
at the new season with a lot more optimism than most on this post.
The arrival of AM seemed to bring about the kind of rugby I have always hoped to
see at Tigers and although we slipped off towards the end of the season, the new
signings fill me full of anticipation.
It is my hope that RC will allow AM to fully run the team now he has had a season under his belt.
All this praise for Saffacens is well and good but don't forget, they are running
at a huge loss and have a pathetic support base. If the money man/men walk away,
so will many of their players.
The same can be said of Wasps. And, with all their money, who's talking up Baaaaarth now?
As always, Tigers will be there or thereabouts and are still the club to beat.
Oh, and in tribute to our late friend Bill, I'll keep the faith.(Sack Cockers)

Re: Money where your mouth is time
Cockerill is the DOR so has the final say on everything team based. Having Mauger has made a difference but Cockerill is in charge of how he wants us to play but Maugers influence with the backs is important.
I really do not understand these negative thoughts and comments about Cockerill! No other team has finished in the top 4 as often as us (every god damn year) during his tenure as Tigers head coach/DOR.

Re: Money where your mouth is time
If you aim for 4th then you run the risk of being 5th. Tigers of old would never have aimed for less than first regardless of the play off lottery. The prize is not getting into the playoffs as many who have lowered their expectations seem to think. It is to be the dominant force in the Premiership over any given season and then we can all moan about the aforementioned money spinning lottery of the playoffs.ellis9 wrote:Cockerill is the DOR so has the final say on everything team based. Where did I say we should aim for 4th spot?
What is it with people not reading posts properly and making comments on things that haven't been said?!

Re: Money where your mouth is time
Clearly I was referring to the management. Cockers to be precise. Being precious doesn't help debate. Perhaps this is why so many on here think they manage by proxy but you really need permission to do that. It hasn't been given.ellis9 wrote:Where did I say we should aim for 4th spot?

On this thread I'm seeing plenty of mouth but no evidence of any money being involved...
