Another brown topping (sand) going on. Just 25 days left to replace it with the green stuff.

It looks like we are going for a brown version of Roland Garros's clay court. They are working on it at the moment.
Will the club be asking for volunteers to paint it green?

Simon Cohen tweeted that the turf would be ready to lay in two weeks time, after being prepared elsewhere.

Sometimes :censored: is really useful......does make you think about exactly HOW this all came about. Very good bit of business if it performs as in NZ.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Either
The increase in shirt sponsers has allowed us to use extra funds for a new pitch
and/or
Another team was going to use this (Prob a football pitch) but had to cancel meaning we might have gotten this cheaper.

I have a roller and green paint, but with it being prepared elsewhere, someone is doing it cheaper!

Can't remember where I saw it and have had a good look round, but I am sure that Simon Cohen said in an interview that when Tigers got chosen for the Granby Halls site, the multi-storey car park had to be put on the back burner. However this released some money for the new pitch.

The pitch cam is proving strangely addictive, with the 'what is (not) happening now' itch... :smt017
