I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

Jerome Schuster, who apparently never settled in at Tigers (I never saw him play so can't comment), is back in the Top14, having joined Bayonne from Tarbes, who due to some financial irregularites, have been relegated to Fédérale 1.
Good luck to him!

I remember him coming off the bench once. He scrummaged like he was wearing roller skates. There's a reason he didn't "settle".

[quote="RagingBull"]Last i heard the Agulla deal fell through.

Horacio Agulla ex Tigers & Bath is transferred to Castres.
Where was Wells playing last year then?

I see also David Mele has left Toulouse for Grenoble, Steve Mafi back to Europe with Castres too.
Still no sign of the big clear out at Newcastle cutting the dead wood.

Unfortunately Lewington was seriously injured in the Saxons win v South Africa and needs knee surgery so a long term absence. Mind you we do sign injured players @ rock bottom prices allegedly! :smt002

Hey Tigs Man, surely Oliver Povoas must be son/nephew of ex Tiger Simon Povoas?
Can you confirm it?
I can confirm it is his son.

Rumour is he will be going to Wasps after a spell at Coventry whilst taking a year working and playing for Cov.

Yes I've seen Ollie play many times for the junior teams at Mkt Harb, always a stand out player.

Are you saying Tigers don't want him?

That would be a shame indeed.

Some people are missing a vital point, an individual might look good, but might not fit into a team plan/ethic and that applies to all team sports.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

You are entitled to that thought, but I'm also entitled to point out that you are wrong.
We have players who make up a team within the constraints of the salary cap and they are all there doing their best for us. We have the most exciting looking set of backs I have ever seen on a Tigers squad list, none of whom will be on small salaries. Our scrum whilst not dominating like we have been used to is looking to be in excellent shape for next season too. Some exciting talent coming into the side and in Dom Barrow, we have a great prospect from last year who I expect to step up and make his mark in the side this coming season.

I see on the BBC that Sale have made an emergency signing of a previous Tigers emergency signing of Lou Reed (Not him!).

He lasted a matter of weeks at Tigers IIRC then got released. Good luck to him.

Another one down the Bath Plughole.....

http://www.bathchronicle.co.uk/bath-rug ... story.html

Eastmond signed a "heads of agreement", with the final contract details to be finalised at the end of the season.

However, once Ford was sacked by owner Bruce Craig in May following a comprehensive review of what went wrong last season, Eastmond was informed by email that the club was not willing to honour the deal initially offered.

Bath now have only one recognised senior inside centre in Dan Bowden. According to the French media they have made an offer for Toulon and France's Maxime Mermoz, but he said in a recent press conference that he was staying with the three-time European champions.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.
