Still no new moderator

Post by BeeJay »

It's now 15 months since the thread asking for a new moderator was put up and still the post has not been filled. I've seen FIFA presidents legally elected faster than this.

Before anyone asks, no.

For too many of us the role would compromise our biases. I would do it as long as I could call trolls 'turdweasel' or say Saints/Bath/Wasps supporters smelt of wee. :smt003

Well 15 months is a long time even for an appointment such as this, however, the position of moderator is a responsible one given the fact that a moderator has to judge the type of posts that the forum have to contain without being to over the top on censorship and trying to promote fair argument and a balanced view of each topic.

As I once said, you can stand in front of 100 monkeys for 100 years explaining Einstein's Theory of relativity but, at the end, they'll still be monkeys. What still amazes me is the number of people who don't know the difference between losing and loosing.

Is there a job description or role profile? I seem to recall that there was something on an earlier thread, but couldn't find it.

Given we have gone so long without a moderator how desperate are we for another or new one?
