And if Toulon beat Racing, and we beat Stade, it'll be Nice. You know, like the biscuit.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Tigers twitter page reads:
"City Ground, Nottingham or Allianz Riviera, Nice to host Tigers should we reach a @ChampionsCup semi-final."
Should...? SHOULD...???

How good is the surface at the Madjeski? Could have two games that weekend if L'Oirish make the semis of the Challenge Cup. Reading FC also playing at home on the Tuesday beforehand.

The ground is very good, if I remember correctly, the St Patrick's Day game v Glaws was played the day after the royals were at home and there weren't any visible signs of damage to the pitch.biffer wrote:How good is the surface at the Madjeski? I desperately hope we can beat Stade Francais (and am confident enough that we can- they're dangerous but struggling & vulnerable), and if we do I'll be shouting on Racing 92 for all I'm worth v Toulon.
I think a sold out City Ground, with Dan Carter gracing the turf and us with every reason to think we could beat them in that atmosphere, could be a hell of an occasion!! I honestly think if we can't play in Leicester, as good as it could possibly get

Shame as I was hoping for the iPro Stadium in Derby. It holds 3000 more than the City Ground (33.5K compared to 30.5K) and is nearer to Derby railway station (about the same distance Welford Road is from Leicester railway station) than the City Ground is to Nottingham railway station.
Re: Stadiums chosen for European Cup semi finals
It's about 10 mins walk from the railway station to City Ground- just about exactly the same as Leicester train station to Welford

According to the great god Google Maps:Raimond wrote:It's about 10 mins walk from the railway station to City Ground- just about exactly the same as Leicester train station to Welford
City Ground to station = 1 mile
iPro Stadium to station = 0.7 mile
Welford Road to station = 0.6 mile

If you're referring to me, it took a whole two minutes. Time well spent to prove my point.Raimond wrote:Far too much time on your hands feller

I can't see why you Tigers would take the trouble of traveling just to see us pink folks beating Toulon in Nice...
