This is almost the best team we can pick at the moment but can somebody tell me what's happened to Tom Youngs? Is he injured or has he been given time off for personal reasons, I know last season his wife was very ill and he was given time off, has she had a relapse?

Or perhaps its just the very widely communicated back spasm that he has been suffering.

Tom was not playing but was in attendance at last weeks game. His back spasm has been widely publicised and that should be the end of it. There is no need to introduce the subject of his wife's health as a discussion on this forum.

Since when did you become a moderator?

Noddy by all accounts is getting on in years so he may not be the sharpest knife in the draw.
He asked a question, the answer to which is widely known but that
doesn't give you the right to slap him down.

He is a legend in his own mind!

I agree there is nothing wrong with supporters asking where players are or aren't and why!
Whether they get an answer or not is another thing as is whether they themselves show any interest at all and buy tickets and merchandise etc.
Being a back problem it's possible the club don't actually know for certain what the foundation of the problem is being such a difficult area and the situation is possibly fluid which is why he is named and then not and possibly vice versa.

To Smudge, may be to you Noddy is getting on in years but I have met him and he is younger than me. I was not trying to set myself up as a moderator, I thought we were allowed to express opinions and in my opinion public discussion on the health of a players family is inappropriate.

You may not know johnthegriff, but I should tell you that he is a very well respected member of the club, and I believe the opinion he has expressed represents those of the club.

Thanks Fleabane but I just express my own opinion, I have no idea what the club or any one else thinks on this matter.

Lawes injured Slater might have a chance to get a call up.

BT commentary team have suggested it's from Geoff Parling, Ed Slater, Mike Williams or Graham Kitchener!

Surely if Lawes is injured the press' next "darling" is Dave Ewers?

I see Van Vuuren will get his second run out tomorrow with Ghiraldini not yet fit.

Saracens lost and Saints are 4th pushing us into 5th. Exeter will go 1st if they win - we will get 4th back if WE win. With old Tigers coming back (Parling et al) and their record here, Exeter will be positive about a win and we have chopped and changed our back line again giving no continuity . Another pair of centres with no match time together!
