Given that Danny Boy was rumoured, strongly, to have been in talks with Queens it's more likely that Marler had been led to believe that Danny had indicated that he was going to them.

Yet another spurned suitor by Danny Boy!

Wuss signing F Hougaard, and recently Potgieter, I think shows how much they are throwing into the relegation battle.
They now have 6 Saffas - add in their Islanders, Kiwi and Irish etc. and they have a proper league of nations.

Tiz - As above - Would bring up Hogan I like Tiz but he needs to play and if Bateman is preferred than he needs to go elsewhere (although he might well be injured which changes things)
Tiz was warming up with the squad before the Sale game when Bateman was on the bench as the TH.

From the Times today, Wasps are going to try and buy Piutau out of his Ulster contract and are also after Pocock.

This salary increase is really spicing up the Premiership.

But as far as I know----and the England Rugby Nutritionist knows-------- apart from AFC Bournemouth, there are no top level Sportsmen in the UK with any knowledge or taking the products, , and certainly not yet at the Tigers....

Go on then... this ought to be good for a laugh.

Firstly let's get this straight this isn't a question of medicine - it's a question of nutrition and sports performance. So whilst I am not a doctor, I am well informed on sports performance and conditioning.

I'm well aware of That Vitamin Movie and it's premise that you can treat certain (usually minor) illnesses with ultra-doses of vitamins - and also that the standard American/Canadian diet is vitamin deficient - the latter is definitely true, the former requires a lot more research but for some ailments is promising - though not to the extent that vitamin producing firms would have you believe.

http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archi ... ts/277947/

Might be worth a read - it's 2013 dated but the research mentioned holds.

The idea of "balancing and nutrienting" the cells is jibberish in scientific terms and in particular with reference to sports performance. Whilst a balance micronutrient profile is important (and balancing this with your macronutrient profile) the idea that ultra doses of vitamins will be a preventative measure for physical injuries is at the best dubious and worst outright dangerous. Also worth noting the effects micronutrient profile would have on injuyr prevention are minimal given the forces at play playing rugby and the relatively advanced nature of the S and C and nutritionists working within the sport.

But if you want to believe that ultra-dosing vitamins could help prevent injury in any meaningful way... then be my guest.

Edit: reworded some of my bad English.

New Scientist 27 Aug 2014 (principally):
Yes:
Vitamin B12 Cobalamin (elderly in particular), Vitamin D (all), Fish Oils (all). Vitamin C can help recovery from colds slightly.
No:
Evidence for the rest is either seriously lacking or in the case of Vitamin A, B6, Iron and 5-HTP, clear that dosing with these could be dangerous.
All B vitamins are normally excreted if you have too much, except B6 (Pyridoxine) which can permanently damage the balance neuromechanisms in the body.
Megavitamins are dangerous, frankly.
All the rest is rowlocks.
