Mike Ford's version of taking responsibility

Post by L Smith »

Sara Elgan: at times like this, do you question what you're doing?
MF: yeah, we constantly review what we're doing and in the last couple of weeks, it's been wet and windy in England"

Eh? Apart from the fact that the Bath unoffy is little more than a propaganda site for the cheerleaders (and Ballsout), how are the fans being so patient? :smt017

He looks like a man on life support in the dour first half against Glaws (8-3). The highlight was the ref getting in the way again.....

Interesting to see his use of "we". OK if you are part of a team effort, but the question asked was "do 'you' question?".

His use of "we", when the answer demanded an "I" response, demonstrates that he is not accepting responsibility, or that he doesn't have a clue, hence the weather reference. The implication of that is that Bath do not possess a wet-weather game, and that Ford does not accept responsibility for their limited approach.

Bath - the potential new home for Connor O'Shea?

Good Glaws win
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

Just lost at home. Mr Craig did not look happy. No doubt Ford snr will use the excuse that he lost both his 10s to the 6 nations plus Devotto and Eastmond during the game.

He'll definitely need his meds after the second half - totally dominated by Glaws, who deserved their win in the end.
Bath fans streaming out before the end.

Lack of leadership on and particularly off the field have cost Bath dearly.

Fords post match interview: "we weren't good enough". " disappointed all round. We've got to stick together (twice), and prepare for Worcester - that's all we can do. It was difficult to play out there, were missing some players."

When asked what he will do said "We've lost quite a few on the run . . . We're going to get better . . ."

"We"?

The question for Brucie is what is he going to do?

Loved the shots of Brucie. Facial expression looked like someone had put the wrong olive in his Martini.

Having recently lost the forum's authority on grammar we may have to put it to the popular vote:
which word do we prefer - schadenfreude or epicaricacy?
