What a signing this guy could be. Huge potential but I suspect we will miss out due to the recent re-signings and new signings.

Re: Curtis Wilson
Camacho Benjamin not likely to be around------- and Goneva going to France, plenty of scope for this guy

Whilst a possibility, maybe even a probability is that 'confirmed'?fortysix wrote:Goneva going to France
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Whilst I hope we retain Benjamin (ive been through it before he's without a doubt our most effective back 3 player when it comes to try's per game) if he is released then this guy would make a mighty replacement
I do wonder if the song lyrics hint at his desired destination though
Re: Curtis Wilson
Must be some sort of journeyman judging from the number of different coloured shirts he is wearing!
Re: Curtis Wilson
In case, like me, you wonder who he is:

The different shirts all appear to be from lower tier and age group teams. Currently at Rotherham.

Valhalla I am coming!
Re: Curtis Wilson
Does not say how old he is, but who are English Counties Seniors, over 35s? Not a great CV in my view, we have seen many video clips of players in past playing brillantly but then failing to impress,
Re: Curtis Wilson
He has potential, but so does Odogwu, and I know who I would prefer to step up next season.

He's also nearly 24. You have to ask, for a back, if he's that good why has he not be picked up by an AP club before?Pellsey wrote:He has potential, but so does Odogwu, and I know who I would prefer to step up next season.

Don't quite agree with this TBH.Hot_Charlie wrote:He's also nearly 24. You have to ask, for a back, if he's that good why has he not be picked up by an AP club before?Pellsey wrote:He has potential, but so does Odogwu, and I know who I would prefer to step up next season.
We will be the first top flight team to have Veainu for more than a year.
Some players are late bloomers.
We have wings this season
Veainu
Betham
Goneva
Thompstone
Morris
Camacho
Benjamin
Loamanu
Bluesigned on for next season
Red out of contract end of season
A transition of
JPP For Goneva
Curtis for Benjamin/Camacho (Keeping the other)
Odogwu for Loamanu
Would work well, and be younger.
Esp with JPP likely 13 cover for Manu.

It's not a rule, but an observation, and the question needs to be asked.RagingBull wrote:Don't quite agree with this TBH.Hot_Charlie wrote:He's also nearly 24. If he's a Premierhip player next season, it has been, but considering the amount of time people bang on on this forum about our "lack" of academy talent, and the number of our graduates playing for other AP sides, it's quite amusing.
Re: Curtis Wilson
If you check the credits it's apparently a video either self produced or by his agent. Hence it might only present a positive image.

Re: Curtis Wilson
Pearce was 23/24 when we signed him.
Many now think he should be our Starting 8 or at least starts some games.
For some players ESP players in and around the M62 corridor where the only top teams ARE championship teams it is harder to get noticed esp at a younger age.
I'm all for promoting youth but Not many Players are ready for AP rugby @ 19.
Odogwu has alot of potential but he still is a few years shy esp defensively of the AP.
Same with the other winger Yawayawa.
Loan them to a championship team next season then evaluate from then.
20/21 is when AP rugby becomes more viable.

Not a secret the video is a highlight reel hence why it shows HIGHLights and not LOWlights.

Re: Curtis Wilson
I agree - hence my qualification of him being a back. Pearce also had the caveat of having only played a couple of seasons of full-time union post his time at Hull playing RL.RagingBull wrote:Pearce was 23/24 when we signed him.
