This would appear to be a good move for Leonardo, but in my opinion it makes sense from a Tigers point of view as well. I have always been one of those that harps on about us not using the products of the academy as well as we should, and in this case we have Harry Thacker developing nicely. Should things progress as we would hope we would have Tom Youngs as first choice next season, Thacker second, with a.n. other as back up, depending on contract positions. We should also perhaps consider that Toulouse are taking something of a punt here as the player is currently injured and out for the majority of the season. Whatever happens, good luck to him for a good recovery and years to come in the game.

Thacker for me isn't a AP hooker that I would be comfortable starting week in week out if needs be.

Still think he/Tigers should look to the back row.

Young Thacker is an excellent player but too small for hooker at premiership level.
Back row maybe but have said for a while that he should look to switch to League where he has the perfect skill set for hooker or half back.
