What is the problem? This guy is STILL world class and if I'm not mistaken, better than what we already have, lighten up people, welcome JDV(if he comes)with open arms, look around the papers and internet, people are talking about the Tigers and no one, not one article says its a bad fit !!

I notice that he neither confirmed nor denied it, but ended by saying "until the ink is dry on the contract, nothing is certain." He also seemed to be having to think about how he phrased his answer. This would suggest that they are in talks, but still a way from being sorted, yet.

I worry just how many games JDV will complete over his tenure? I note from Wackipedia that in a Tigers shirt Brad Thorn's was 12. You can sign great players but that matters didly squat if they do not stay fit, something Tigers have learned to their cost.

Thorn isn't exactly an example of a player who didn't repay our investment.
