Re: Kings of the North.
A fair sprinkling of first team. The question arises, as I am in Oldham at 12 noon, do I go to the game (not easy to do if there is a Man Utd game, and awful down the M6 after) or do I go walking in Derbyshire with chips and a pint in Ashbourne to follow? Am I a real fan (even with a ST)?kpj tiger wrote:Sale team from their website

Re: Kings of the North.
Not bad. Are we playing another 15 during the second half like last week? Also when is Slater back? I had forgot he was injured.RagingBull wrote:RL saying 1st half team is.

Re: Kings of the North.
Conversion good. 7-0 to Sale.
Apparently scrum is suffering and Line out throws are a bit wonky.
Defence had been good up to that point - under the cosh by the sounds of it though.

Sounds like we're making all our own problems by not getting to the breakdown quick enough. Several times we've been pinged for holding on when isolated.
Defence sounds very good. We've got a very young pack out so I'm not surprised the more experienced Sale pack is applying pressure up front.

2nd try for Sale converted. Mujati credited with the try.
14-0 approaching halftime, poor restart from Burns, straight into touch

Agree. Far from full power pack from us, not criticising as such, just observingsam16111986 wrote:Sounds like we're making all our own problems by not getting to the breakdown quick enough. Several times we've been pinged for holding on when isolated.

Could've been worse if our defence hadn't been so organised and good.

Good to hear the young guys playing with passion for the shirt and happy to put their body on the line in defence. Guess it's a learning experience for them in regards to the intensity required at premiership level particularly at the breakdown.WhitecapTiger wrote:Agree. An organised pressing defence. I hope that can be a strength or us this season. Is certainly helping us today.
