Thank you Julian Salvi

Post by Goffer3404 »

Thank you to Julian Salvi who is confirmed as leaving Tigers.
Outstanding commitment every time he took to the field and his work around the pitch and on the ground has been excellent to watch.
Will be missed.

Cometh every match, cometh Julian Salvi. An immense player who lacks for nothing. I will terribly miss the pleasure of seeing him in action in a Tigers shirt. His replacement has massive shoes to fill and he must.

Going walkabout but I'm sure he'll rock up somewhere.

Top player, top bloke & will be missed for many reasons. You simply couldn't ask for any more from a player, than Julian has given.
Take a bow, Mr Salvi.

P.S, Don't be too hard on his successor.

I agree with all the positive comments - a top bloke.
Such a shame he is leaving!

Absolute legend and pretty much irreplaceable, his last hit against wasps just summed him up, committed turn over sniffer who I don't think we have replaced with the current recruitment, o'connor to me is not a salvi, a bloke I thought we would sell a stand to keep, sad times, all the best Julian!!

Reading between the lines on Cockerill's statement to Radio Leicester, it seems that Salvi wanted to stay but the two sides could not agree terms. This is one pretty special fish that has just jumped back into the sea and will be snapped up by anybody with a brain. How can we keep on losing our game changers? We are going to miss him one hell of a lot and may rue the day we could not dig deep enough to keep him. I would go so far as to say that without his work throughout the season and especially in the Wasps game, we would not be in the position we are in now. Note to Mauger - whoever you bring in to fill his boots had better be pretty impressive.

That doesn't say where he's going to does it? I think it's the Chiefs, but they've not announced it.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, how can Exeter tempt away our best players? TTTE, Parling and now possibly Salvi. Why would they prefer to play at a Club with less support, less history, less chance of winning something etc...unless there is a personality issue/clash with our DOR?

We certainly didn't replace TTTE with anybody even close to his standard, let's hope we do so with Parling, Salvi and Gibson!!
