The Tigers do not have police at the ground, if they were to call stating they had a streaker how much priority do you think the police would put on that? As stated before, the stewards do not have the authority to hold anyone , so such as it is, you can just shove them out of the ground!KernowLeicester wrote:The stewards don't have the power to detain, although they are allowed to use limited restraining techniques if required. Otherwise the guy would have been given to the police, Bit of a shame really.

God created rugby so footballers have heros too
Re: The streaker
There are no Police present in the ground on match days so the streaker could not be handed immediately to the Police. Chobbsy is right - the stewards are there for the safety of the spectators.
Re: The streaker
You have got to be kidding me. Whose ineptitude allowed that to happen?!floridaboy wrote:
It is difficult, the people who were with him and held his clothes were ejected along with the idiot, the only problem is he got back in !!!
Given that the moron in question has been widely named on social media it shouldn't be difficult to ban him for life.
Some people seem to think someone exposing themselves in a family environment is okay, a bit of high jinks, a bit of 'banter'. I certainly don't.

Re: The streaker
Stewards on the gates don't have radios so they had no idea he wasn't allowed in and apparently they aren't allowed to put any marks on people they throw out like they do at night clubs
Re: The streaker
Well there's something else that needs addressing with the stewarding then. If you've ejected a spectator, they need to stay ejected.KernowLeicester wrote:Stewards on the gates don't have radios so they had no idea he wasn't allowed in and apparently they aren't allowed to put any marks on people they throw out like they do at night clubs

Re: The streaker
I totally agree, when someone is ejected the first thing should be to inform gates who that person is and what they look like.Iain wrote: Well there's something else that needs addressing with the stewarding then. If you've ejected a spectator, they need to stay ejected.

Re: The streaker
I can't believe this thread is still rumbling on. The streaker was ejected from the ground, to prevent him returning through the smokers gates it would have been necessary to photograph him (may be a breach of civil rights)and circulate that photo to all the stewards on the gates who would then have to spot him hiding among others as they re-entered the ground after halftime, not easy! Please don't suggest circulating the photo by phone, stewards are no allowed to have their mobile phones with them whilst on duty.

Naked Streaker thrown out, clothes on inside, how does naked spectator get back through turnstiles?

Re: The streaker
From what I was told, the person who had got the clothes was taken to wherever the stewards had got him and his clothes returned, not sure, but I think that person was asked to leave too.LE18 wrote:Naked Streaker thrown out, clothes on inside, how does naked spectator get back through turnstiles?
Re: The streaker
Perhaps they should have just turned him out the front door and let him take his chances with the law

Re: The streaker
He was chucked out by himself, supervisor from the terraces collected his stuff
Re: The streaker
So, hypothetically of course, what would the stewards do if say some of the Tartan Ruggers, having put too much of the hard stuff in their Thermos flasks, started to run amok in the Cat stand? Not being trained in PI they would just have to watch then?Chobbsy wrote:Only if PI trainedKernowLeicester wrote:The stewards don't have the power to detain, although they are allowed to use limited restraining techniques if required. Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
