This underlines that it was a bit stupid to do what we did in Coventry. I thought it was petty and childish and rather unbecoming of a professional outfit. It also leaves you open to things like this in retaliation.

Other clubs have the impression of us being arrogant and insular. That did nothing to dispel those viewpoints. We are rather prone to some PR gaffs.

For all that I'm seen to be overly positive about the team (I think it's more that I'm not excessively negative), I often despair of some of the running of the club and the non-playing side.

I have no problem at all with what the bloke's done. If he paid, fine, and if the club funded any part of the campaign then it's at least more subtle than Leicester's effort. (Which I must admit I didn't much like.)

There's no doubt that our club should have been out in the community all these years, covering the towns up to a 45 minute drive from WR at least, running summer schools and really exciting marketing promotions etc with the rugby clubs across the NW part of the east midlands. If they haven't, and Wasps have simply spotted an opportunity, then good luck to them.

PS I'd still like a couple of their players please. What's the name of that young winger who's obviously too small, a bit like Jason Robinson was? Can we have him?

Stupid to do it in Coventry, If it was up to me I'd place support the Tigers posters outside every premiership ground, it's whats known as good advertising strategy.

But for us to do it as a professional outfit was petty, small time and pathetic. We did not come out of that looking good.

Pretty much this most other supporters saw the humour in it.

Wasps didn't play any European rugby in Coventry since 2015.

Spot on… banter is good. Frankly I rather home Wasps make Cov their home for good and we gradually build a rivalry with them down the M69 to match our Tigers-Saints rivalry.

To Simorscribble Tigers do a hell of a lot in the community over a very wide area. Their rugby camps spread near and far even abroad. Much of what they do benefits the community and rugby with no direct benefit to Tiger, Wasps have not done this over the years as they have moved from ground to ground, I doubt they will do it in Coventry when they continue to lose money each season.
