Re: Castro interview
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
Re: Castro interview
There are two sides to every coin, and Castro obviously feels very hard done by.
However, he is alleged he is suffering from Crohns disease, and a major fact of this ailment is tiredness amongst a host of other problams.
Plus he always looks out of condition, and was patently behind Cole. So taking all this into account, RC did what the majority of level headed CEO's would do, and got rid..
Cruel but thats life.
All this could blow up in our faces on Saturday in Toulons home cauldron.
And the ref wont be so lenient as our Nige......

Re: Castro interview
Ah Castro, the swagger, the gestures to the crowd, the passion, the kissing of the badge. All ruined in a disgusting outburst of profanity & lies. You're a bad loser mate. Learn a little self respect. As others have said, I have no time for the guy whatsoever.
This has nothing to do with the return leg in Toulon. If we get beaten then so what ? It doesn't make it any better.

Re: Castro interview
Forgiven.
You want sooo bad to beat a team and a man that you feel wronged you.
You want to shove it right where the sun don't shine.
You fail on the pitch.
Torn by embarrassment, rage, still feeling wronged, still testosterone laden, you want to strangle the little sod who you thought conned you.
You've a Latin temperament loaded with fury and passion
Result............explosion.
You can't undo it now. So take your punishment like a man.
Been there, seen it, bought the T shirt.

Polyglots always impress me.
I assume Castro was using the lingua franca of Oval Park.
Who taught him?
We did.

Re: Castro interview
There is a time and a place. Has Casto ever swore at a press conference? As he seen others do it? Repeatedly? I think he has got it wrong anyway. But if he hadn't spouted a dozen profanities at least he would have kept some honour.Red Boots wrote:Polyglots always impress me.

Listen to some of it, pretty certain he was 100% aware on what and how he was doing it.Red Boots wrote:Polyglots always impress me.

Re: Castro interview
I'm glad to see that ERC are to investigate both Castro's rant and Delon Armitage for his use of offensive language.
Re: Castro interview
What utter rot. I especially like the line that he was only aiming to change people's perceptions of why he left Tigersdunks43 wrote:apparantly he has now apologised

Sorry to burst your balloon Martin, but most of us had moved on from that little soap opera and your sorry little outburst only ended up overshadowing what was an excellent win for the club and Tigers supporters.
I don't buy this Italian passion nonsense either, it was a lack of self control, on and off the pitch, pure and simple.
You came back to Welford Road to good-will cheers from your former fans, you got bested at the scrum, then your team lost.
At least try to show some dignity and stop running down the club you claim to love, by any media outlet available.

Re: Castro interview
This should have been saved for his book. Will always love Castro but no matter how he felt about Cockerill he has embarrassed himself! But to be fair it is just symptomatic of Toulon and their owner who think they have the right to tell the whole rugby world how it should be done..
I enjoyed the success when Wilko was at the helm as he was such a brilliant rugby man but now they just come across on the whole bar a few players like a vulgar, crass and petulant team of egos!

Re: Castro interview
Toulon have suspended Castro for 3 days (!!) and 'slashed' his December salary

Re: Castro interview
Now confirmed by RCT that Castro will not play on Saturday.
Re: Castro interview
Dissapointing. We would have targeted him at scrum time. Ayerza had Heyman in his pocket in the QF a couple of years ago so not too much to worry about in that department. That must be an area we will be targeting.fentiger wrote:Now confirmed by RCT that Castro will not play on Saturday.

Quite - he would have been a liability as he was on Sunday even before he took his post-match shower!TigerLad wrote:Dissapointing. We would have targeted him at scrum time.
