Tigers supporters(on the Terrace)verbally abusing

a nearby London Irish supporter before the winning kick. Nothing too harsh but still out of order.

Class is permanent - and sadly far too many of our supporters today had none.

Planning to get some tickets for the Heineken Cup match away to Ulster- hope I don't have to apologise to any of their supporters (in person and on their forum) after the home match at Welford Road

I'm a season ticket holder, but on this season's evidence , if I had kids I'd take them down the King Power rather than Welford Road (and I wonder how many others would say the same).

I thought the loss of some heavy drinkers on the terraces had lessened the verbal abuse considerably. It was far worse 4 or 5 seasons ago.

I just got a text from a friend who is a Bath season ticket holder. He was making a similar statement after the game at the Rec. He said that there was a pocket if classless fans swearing during the game and showing zero sportsmanship. I maybe a traditionalist but silence at the kicks, banter with opposition fans and a few pints after the game are a must. It's a bit gutting that we are losing on the pitch and our behaviour is poor off it.

Knowing the Rec I doubt the Bath fans were completely innocent in it though.

I am sure they weren't, as they were drunk on their teams pasting of us and some Blackthorn! But I don't like to hear that we are respected so very little due to behaviour.
I am sure we are not a bastion of virtue as fans, and after the start to season we have had, it's probably more vocal. But there are standards that that we should adhere to or when the Sarries come to town and their behaviour we will have no room to moan.

Deeply embarrassing.
It was bad enough sitting through the the first half in front of 2 'supporters' with verbal diarrhoea (particularly during penalties) and when Oirish were taking that last penalty, I looked across at the King Power stadium and thought, "I switched to watching rugby because of the toxic atmosphere in football"
How do we reverse this trend? It's not like it's a minority any more.
I would welcome some intervention from the club.

As Im a season ticket holder and have been to many a game..I will continue to attend the games , the booing was aimed at the referee and not the players, the booing continued after the game to an extend that the ref had to be escorted of the pitch, the booing was aimed to a bad decision of the ref in the opinion of the fans, Im so sorry if we upset anyone, sorry for having an opinion

I was really disappointed with the booing at the end today. I also thought the abuse dished out to the ref as he walked off the pitch was too much.

The worst moment for me though, was when one fan (on the terrace near the 22) quite loudly shouted "Ref, you're a c***!" toward the end of the second half.

Maybe some sort condition of entry means you have to behave in the correct Tigers manner. The tannoy announcer should get involved more and make it clear that booing or swearing is not acceptable. The stewards need to be more proactive also. Having have to work at Wendyball games, I can honestly say that the atmosphere during even the most mundane football game is aggressive and as said before toxic. We need to eradicate it before it manifests itself with younger fans who think its acceptable to behave in a non Tigers manner.

And calling the ref a C@@@ is just shocking. Welford road not Old Trafford.

Oh dear, dunks. I think you're missing the point. If you felt the need, you could have booed the ref before and after the kick: just not during. You're more than welcome to your opinion and your right to air it. That's how civilised societies work. The people who felt upset by the booing are the ones who are trying to ensure we remain in a civilised society which affords you your right to air your opinion.

yes I booed the kick before the kick , after the kick and the ref when leaving the pitch, didn't hear anyone booing during the kick, yes it wasn't completely silent as it usually is , but heard a few grumblings from the crumbie seating but definatly no booings during the kick though And I was standing next to the irish guy in the hat and dress and had great banter with him and his friends
