Compared to any other forum, this one is a model of politesse. Even people who post fairly nastily on other forums are muted on here. As someone who has posted my fair share of robust argument and occasionally (correctly) been told off, I view this forum as quite staid and insult-free. And as for trolls....apart from the one or two during the ERC spat, didn't know we had any - even the Stains posters are nice!

I find nothing dull & staid about this forum, there is quite a lot of friendly banter and you'd be amazed on the range of topics discussed. So I suggest that if anyone finds it dull and staid, go take a shower or have a bevy and wake your brain up.
I participate in many forums* and I find this one of the better behaved. As for being dull, I think we can forgive that at the moment since it is the off season.
*I know the plural is strictly speaking fora but I've always viewed language as being dynamic and shaped by general use.

I think fora and forums are both not only acceptable but also correct plurals for forum when used in the English language. I think it's only strictly fora when used in Latin. OED et al.
I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

According to the Oxford English Dictionary:
"Forum - NOUN (plural forums)
1 A meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged"
Whereas:
"3 Forum, (plural fora) (In an ancient Roman city) is a public square or marketplace used for judicial and other business."
So forums is probably the most appropriate plural for our use.
