So the English and Welsh teams will not have had their own internationals with them for a month before the third round of ties? Bit of a handicap that. Was that the case last year as well? It was for the Taffs, not sure about the Morris Dancers :smt002

The RFU and WRU will make sure every handicap is placed in the way of the top clubs (apart from the ones that can afford two first teams), the WRU going to the extent, so far, of totally shafting those clubs.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

On the other hand the Regions seem to want a large amount of money from the WRU. They are getting more money per region than each premiership club is from the RFU in their own agreement. Not sure how this is realistic seeing as the commercial draw of the welsh game and WRU can't be anywhere near as high as the RFU, just by going on MS capacity and population etc compared to England.

Not sure how many players each region contributes, but is it higher than Sarries/Saints/Tigers this season?

Given one or two slightly disparaging remarks about Turkish airlines earlier in this thread it'd be funny to see how people might react if they're a key partner of the new comp.

I think one rather than two and definitely slightly if at all. I would welcome any major airline as an appropriate key partner (and certainly Europe's number six rather than the number two).

Anyone heard anything about when these fixtures to be released? It's getting on a bit now with just over 2 months until first game :smt013

It was shown last season(with Montpelier leak) that clubs know a week in advance so any insiders info welcome :smt023

The fixtures were released on 22 July last year!!

They even glory in getting themselves banned from the Scarlets forum!

I wonder which one is using the'stanupenfite' moniker?
None of them do!

What on earth are you insinuating?

If you have a problem with me posting occasionally please outline why.

Personally I'm not all that fazed by international matches, who pays the players wages or provides them with medical assistance when needed. Why of course it's the clubs. The stuffed shirts who run the English game couldn't give two figs for the clubs. I'm sure many of them hanker for the old days of amateurism when country came before club. We should get rid of these dinosaurs and concentrate on the club game.

H's dad what makes you think this is the first round fixtures?
In the words of BJ where's the link?
You really shouldn't post info unless 100% sure because of people booking flights/hotels etc!

I did put not sure for this one, please don't book your flights based on this post.

100% sure? Please be serious, nothing would ever happen. And when you ask specifically for insider information sometimes you just have to assume that the source is Bill's taxi driver.
