Ford out of Nz Tour
Wow now that is interesting this could be a poisoned chalice for Cipriani if England get smashed in the first test..

Probably also means Burns will tour. I doubt they would go with only one 10. Could be good for Burns and help him find his confidence.

I'd say it's more likely that Twelvetrees will start at 10 in the first test than Cipriani.

Isn't Twelvetrees injured?
And I am sure Cipriani would start over Billy who England view very much as a 12 internationally...

I think this tour is destined to be a disaster. They should have given the players a summer off rather than go to New Zealand with a team decimated by injuries and general fatigue.
Re: Ford out of Nz Tour
... not to mention kow-towing to the SH centric IRB and not having AP finalists available! We all know that if it'd been New Zealand (or other SH) on tour the fixture would have been re-arranged/cancelled.kingol22 wrote:I think this tour is destined to be a disaster. For when the One Great Scorer comes to write against your name,
He marks - not that you won or lost - but how you played the Game."

Re: Ford out of Nz Tour
Myler will be with Saints so will miss the first test. Would be silly going there with only one 10. What happens if he gets injured in training? They will need to take two 10's for the first test and I'm guessing they will go with both Cips and Burns. Question is do they call both Faz and Myler out for the remaining two tests? Faz will of course go but don't see the point of taking a fourth 10 just to cover.JackFlashJonny wrote:Surely on current form much more likely to be Myler?

Flood is probably having a quiet laugh about the situation SLancater now finds himself in..
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Is this a time for SL to make an exceptional circumstance?

I expect he will have the faith in Cipriani, Cips has played against a lot of the All Blacks when he was at the rebels so its not gonna be a throw into the deep end for him
Re: Ford out of Nz Tour
Still makes you laugh though - it's like the shambles when he wouldn't call on the best English 7 just because he played in France.

Re: Ford out of Nz Tour
After tonights performance, Ford must be highly relieved he is not going, NZ would have murdered him, probably ended his career, he is so flakey.

It was a very poor performance in the second half, cost Bath the game.LE18 wrote:After tonights performance, Ford must be highly relieved he is not going, NZ would have murdered him, probably ended his career, he is so flakey.
