Why did Boris lead the team out yesterday?
It wasn't his last home match. It wasn't his 50th or 100th match. It wasn't even his birthday. Anyone know?
Re: Why did Boris lead the team out yesterday?
It could have been his last start at Welford Road........expect him to be on the bench against Saracens

Re: Why did Boris lead the team out yesterday?
Tigerbeat expects to be on the bench next week? Really?? Is that because of the shortage of props with Mulipola and Cole injured?

Because it was quite likely his last home match as a starter, he may feature against saracens but I suspect only from the bench.

And probably because Toby will be leading them out against Sarries.

Not so sure he will - even if Floody is in the starting 15 I would imagine that Slater will stay as skipper. Unbeaten in the job so far, Floody off to France for next season......Butchers Hook wrote:And probably because Toby will be leading them out against Sarries.

I meant because it might be his last 'home' game.longlivethecrumbie wrote:Not so sure he will - even if Floody is in the starting 15 I would imagine that Slater will stay as skipper. If it wasn't such an important game, I'd love to see Chutes, Boris and Toby milling about on the pitch, and the mascots run down the tunnel first, take the players by the hand and lead them onto the pitch for a pre-match photo op!
Re: Why did Boris lead the team out yesterday?
Chutes announced his retirement today, with immediate effect. Hopefully he will be given a rousing send off at the Sarries match.
