A friend took his son to play for Hitchin Minis at a tournament before the match at Allianz, standard practice for most Premiership clubs. However it cost £42 for them both to be there! This led to the boys Mum and brother staying at home instead of watching him play at a Premiership ground!
Absolutely disgusting! I bet the crowd thought "oh how nice that they get the kids to play too", unaware they're just turning yet another cheap buck!!!!!!
Outrageous!

Even with Marlyn Monroe there they did not get a sell out, what do they have to do to attract a crowd, topless rah rah girls?
Re: Sarries charge kids to play before Exeter game!
You think it’s disgusting that included in the ticket and (if applicable) competition fee, the opportunity to play on a premiership ground is included? H has done similar at London Irish and Twickenham (and Manchester City (before they had money)). I don’t begrudge a penny.Grannyman wrote:A friend took his son to play for Hitchin Minis at a tournament before the match at Allianz, standard practice for most Premiership clubs. I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

Maybe you get a discount for paying in rands!

Tigers charge for kids to come onto the pitch and shake that huge flag. Don't know about the guard of honour - might be included in one of the coaching days or something , which also incurs a charge of course. Surely this is all just part of the increasing commercialisation of the game and clubs needing to make a buck any which way?

£42 isn't too bad for a fee plus tickets. I know bashing Sarries is our second favourite thing to do around here but they've got costs to cover just like the rest of us, more so in fact because you couldn't buy a decent family saloon with their season ticket sales.
Re: Sarries charge kids to play before Exeter game!
We can't have a go at Sarries over this as along with the info about what we charge the kids - we also charge for a birthday message to be put on the electrical board. £15 per message. I know we get kids under 10 free with a season ticket which is brilliant but where do you stop? 4 teams of 15 kids and each kid brings 2 adults with coaches = 120+ tickets - a significant number of bums on seats. Let the kids in free - yes but adults who I assume stay and watch the premiership game must pay
Hehehehehehehehe
