Tigers v Glaws

Looks like good news getting Kitch, Tombstone and Crane back from injury.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

And with YBY, OTY and Ed Slater being allowed back, we should have a half decent team out. A 5 pointer is required though.

8. Crane
9. Youngs
10. Flood

IMO:

Ayerza, Youngs, Logo
Slater, Kitchener (Deacon if Kitch isn't fit)
Gibson, Crane, Matera (Matera, Gibson, Salvi if Crane isn't fit)
Youngs, Flood
Allen, Smith
Goneva, Tait, Scully

Hawkins, Balmain, Boris, Mafi, Salvi, Mele, Williams, Thompstone

I'd be amazed to see Matera start but I think if Cockers is going to pick a game over the next 4 to start Pablo then this is one, although I suspect he will drop out of the 23 all together. Will be interesting to see a certain F.Burns at WR, hopefully the Tigers pack will prove to him why they are so good to play with, rather than against! Obviously 4 points is the minimum target, but I can't help but think that Tigers need to start getting TBPs sooner rather than later!

Manu? I thought latest was end of Feb, & Lancaster seemed to doubt this

I'd start Mafi, needs to get some time on the pitch under his belt this season.

Agreed. Mafi is an ace player and needs to get back to his best.
The only way to do that is to get some game-time in.

If Tigers can't get 5 points against the present shambles that is Gloucester Cockerill & Co might as well pack up . The Wuss display was just not good enough with all those International 'stars' on the pitch .

Last week was a massive result. We won away from home against a team fighting for survival in conditions that were a real leveller. We scored more points than most of the other top five all of whom struggled to perform to their best yet we get criticism. Nobody above us scored four tries and two of them left it later than us to win and the best side in the league actually lost at home. We struggled last season on a cold Friday night in Worcester but still won the Competition.

I agree a five point haul is a possibility on Sunday but with the recent weather and the forecast weather any win will do.

Just keep winning. If we get 4 wins from the 6N period then we are well set for the run-in. Any try bonus points, are just that. A bonus.

That's a good enough reason. :smt003
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

I agree with the positive feed back about Mafi, but where do you play him, as both Gibson and Salvi have been huge this season. I'd like to see Steve given a go in the number 8 shirt. I think he could make this his own and provide stiff competition for Crane and Steve's Tongan colleague who's supposed to be joining us in September.
