New Injuries and returning players

Post by smalldell »

Does anyone know extent of Injuries to Tait; Kitchener; Crane and Benjamin.

Crane looked very serious to me.

Taits seemed precautionary, seem to stretch something when he kicked for touch.

Kitchener probably should not have started, but I guess he would only have gone to the Saxons and got more injured.

Picked up that Benjamin had hurt his knee. Does anyone know anymore.

Finally Logo! Will he be back for the start of the premiership?

Finally; finally will all fans please pray to the injury fairy and ask it nicely to go and visit another club...pretty please from me!!!!!!!!!!!

Cockers interview says he think all injuries last night are upto a couple of weeks away, Crane landed on the point of his shoulder so may have just been a jolt.

Well said, on Radio Leicester last night said he "supsected he opped his ACL joint out" ? I thought ACL was your knee? Either way does not sound trivial :smt010

did he say ACL or just AC?

AC separation is a separation of collarbone and shoulder blade often caused by landing on it

I think upon reflection he did indeed say AC separation not ACL, I clearly misheard. :smt023

According to Sky Sports, both Tait and Kitchener are out of the Saxons game at the weekend and Gibson and Benjamin will be assessed nearer the time. A big disappointment for all concerned...and a possible worry for Tigers as well. Let's hope the injuries, what we know of them, clear up quickly.

Not sure if the injury update means Tait and Kitch are out of both saxon games?

As I understand Tait and Kitch are believed to be short term injuries. I hope this is the case as both are key if Leicester are to challenge the big teams.

Both players are unlucky as a strong performance for the Saxons could have seen them promoted to the full EPS at some stage during the 6-nations.

"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

Having done that before, I can confirm it is astonishingly painful. One of the worst things I've ever done to myself. Jesus it was sore.

Cockers said that only Cranes looked to be long term. Mafi and Logo in, Crane, Kitch, Gibson and Benjamin out. Just as it looks like we are turning the corner, bam, four more of our key players get injured. Just read the mercury and Morris has broken his thumb and may need surgery. Matt Smith had that and he was out for months. This really is beginning to get ridiculous....

Benjamin's knee problem sounds sinister and worrying. He has reportedly to see a specialist as they have not yet been able to make a diagnosis :smt009

Broken? According to the link in Fentiger's post, it's a dislocation.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

My mistake. Either way he will be out for a while and may require surgery.
