I heard something similar a few weeks ago when it was first mooted Thomas might not be retained for next season.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

It will be a shame, he has done a great job for us but we are in need of a top no 8 now and that really must be a priority. Crane is a good back up but should certianly not be first choice.

We are linked with Lawrence Pearce from Rotherham. Looks useful, probably will disappear into the Tigers factory and come out as a new model :smt002

If the rumour is true, I wish him well, he will thrive down there and the challenge may give him a new goal to aim at.

Big difference as Schuster had trouble with the language, getting home sick and having to learn new scrum Laws all together at once.

Same talk of Exeter in Rugby Paper - apparently seen down in Exeter having medical tests.

Sounds like he has had a really tough time, I thought it may actually have something to do with his ability :smt017

It does seem strange that Exeter would choose Waldrom. He is a great player and wouldn't let them down but they have a quality 8 in Ewers already. Perhaps we have negotiated a swap with us taking Ewers? Laurence Pearce looks good. 20 stone monster who comes from the club who have produced Dickinson (Saints). If we were to lose Waldrom and gain Ewers and Pearce I would be very happy.

Wherever he ends up I'd wish him well as he's been a great Tiger but it's been obvious for a while his head's in other places. Might be wishful thinking to assume Ewers is coming the other way but with the gap between what Toby earns and what we'll pay Burns presumably fairly wide maybe this'll be the season we sign more than one player anybody's ever heard of before.

If true then I'm sorry to see him go.

Ewers will not be coming to Tigers because he has signed a new contract with Exeter.
