Outstanding! That's all I can say about him!
Re: Ant Allen
What a difference he made!
Re: Ant Allen
To me he proves that a brain is far more important than brute force, a lesson SL hasn't vaguely learnt, otherwise he'd select him.

Re: Ant Allen
If there is a better 12 in England, I have yet to see him.
Re: Ant Allen
It baffles me why Anthony Allen has not got more than his 3 England caps. now that they are both fit I think an England pairing of Anthony with Brad Barritt would seal the deal for England in the 6 nations.
Re: Ant Allen
He's not good enough for England though......not really................much better playing in Green red and white!
Besides we need him more.

Concur!
Still keeping the faith!
Re: Ant Allen
Actually he is good enough for England - he's one of those very rare players who always perform at the same level whatever the class of opposition.
For when the One Great Scorer comes to write against your name,
He marks - not that you won or lost - but how you played the Game."

I'm only guessing but that might be why posters want him @ welford Rd, not twickenhamDickyP wrote:Actually he is good enough for England - he's one of those very rare players who always perform at the same level whatever the class of opposition.
Re: Ant Allen
It was incredible how relaxed everyone became when he returned. He was picking up the loose ball, passing well and breaking lines. What he does is give everyone the confidence to paly their game and not worry about the consequences.
What struck me was that when he is tackled he passes the ball, when Flood was trying to pass the ball at 12 it sort of flopped out of his hand. Also, when AA is tackled he presents the ball so cleanly and what he does brilliantly as well is tackle...
Fantastic.

Re: Ant Allen
He makes those around him play better. His lines were so straight and defence as always outstanding. Must say still not convinced about Goneva at 13 but Allen was superb like he hadn't been away
