Tigers vs Ulster - Teams up!!

Post by Greenwhiteandred »

The Montpellier game is still in play whilst I write this but in my opinion we can out scrummage them buy their half backs are class - need some serious pressure on them as Pienaar and Jackson are quality. Would love to have a SH that kicks so intelligently :smt013

Not over yet but thought their back line has looked patchy

I sincerely hope that they will rue the missed bonus point tonight.

No BP - yah.

Definitely beatable - stop the half back partnership and we definitely have the beating of them but we will need the back row to perform as Pienaar is better than YBY.

Assuming we can do the business tomorrow .......(c'mon Tigers) ......... It is in the words of our American cousins - going to be awesome next Saturday evening. Glad I have a ticket - feel sorry for those people who seem to be mortally offended that games don't kick off at 3pm as a Saturday evening H-Cup head to head certainly floats my boat :smt038

To be fair, Pienaar is better than most 9's in the world. On another note, Montpellier's hooker was immense tonight.

You are not wrong - he's brilliant (Pienaar that is) and I can't disagree that the Montpellier hooker had a great game but he's not OTY is he :smt001

The Pienaar point got me thinking - he is "world class" and I am defining "world class" as being of suitable ability that they would get into a current World 23. Who do we think is "world class" in the Tigers team. I can think of one player who definitely is and I could think of at least 2 more who I would argue are borderline - opinions?

Would love to say Tom Croft and Manu but there's some serious competition at 6 and 13. having said that, OTY couldn't be far away and Marcos never comes off second over 80 minutes.

I also think Welford would be in with a shout: serious skills! :smt045

Marcus is definitely in the squad for me - OTY and Salvi are borderline - I was discounting Tom and Manu as they are injured. Personally Tom would be in my squad and as much as I love him - Manu is on standby. 13 is a very competitive position.
