Many would call it harmless fun, others may take an entirely different view so I hope there are no repercussions.
PS the bloke arresting Manu after his NZ ferry dip looks like Stephan Armitage
Manu has just tweeted an apology

Re: Manu
I'm disappointed in him. Surely he could have done something altogether more spectacular? A Samoan sidestep maybe...

Re: Manu
I very much doubt David Cameron gave a :censored: about this, if people get offended by this they need to re-evaluate their priorities

"Not all the Lions on their best behaviour" - Sky News.
Inappropriate because the media are just looking for this kind of story, and this is a perfect follow-up to the "ferry" story. Immature, not the time or place, given the circumstances and his past.
Tiger in the news for all the wrong reasons again, and just at the time the Cockers story was dying down.

People not neccessarily angry, it is just that it is a gift to the sharks in the media.
In today's world of 24hr news coverage, they have to fill the pages with something, and this is Manu's present to them.

"Inappropriate" would more accurately describe a "media" that you refer to if they are to inflate "this kind of story" to more than something humorous.fleabane wrote:Inappropriate because the media are just looking for this kind of story...

Are you saying this is not the time, then? A no doubt boring, fairly contrived photo shoot sounds like just the place for comedy, to me.

Re: Manu
This has just been jumped upon on national TV. This is a silly moment that is going to be blown into a diplomatic incident by the media.
