Legends game - thanks Louis!
Just got back from the game - was surprisingly vigorous stuff, but very one-sided. Tigers didn't just go old-skool with the letters on the jerseys, they went old-skool with the beers during the game. Reminded me of packs in my past where four packs of strong lager or quarters of brandy were consumed before the game : 'stops it hurting'.

Half-time orange wedges and second half bottles of lager...

What great fun it was this afternoon.
Love the moment when the Crumbie booed Spreaders for a decison he made and he turned to us and said "O shut up ".
16,500 attending was brilliant. Was this the biggest crowd of the weekend ?

Loved Spreaders making to go to TMO for Geordies try! Pure theatre!

Great occasion and a privilege to see so many legends on the pitch. Shame RC did not start but nice to see him enjoying the game with his kids. Dorian West was brilliant as indeed was everyone who took to the pitch the competitive edge was to the fore with some tasty feisty moments. Hambo's team just had to much gas and were highly motivated under the coaching of Shaun Edwards.

Great fun in the sun - well done to the club and all the ex-players for turning out and sticking around for autographs and photos at the end. Would be nice if Tigers could get some of the atmosphere today back at WR for league and HK games...
One sour point though - a four-year old on the terrace getting in my way. Irresponsible parenting in my honest opinion! (you'll need to read the 'Taking a child to a game' thread for that to make sense, if you haven't already! ).

Went to the game today but was dissapointed in the lack of players that were suppose to have been playing.
Promoting the event on the website it said richard cockeril would be playing, also freddie tuilagi would be playing but neither was or surge betsen!
One of the main reasons i went was to see freddie put his boots on again so was dissapointed to be honest.

Great afternoon, a real credit to the club that so many turned out on a Sunday afternoon. Watching Geordie score a cheeky winger's try was particular highlight. One slight criticism though- maybe in future the club could give notice of any enormous cultural parades happening 2 hours before kickoff so those of us from out of town don't end up anxiously waiting in our cars behind a police barricade.

Did anyone else notice that we had 16 players on the park for the last 10 minutes?
Dean Richards, haven't you learned your lesson?

Spreaders noticed that Hambo's legends had about 18 on the park at one point.....

I noticed we were playing 17 vs 16 at one point! The more the merrier I say! Brilliant afternoon.
If winning isn't everything, why do they bother keeping score?
Re: Legends game - thanks Louis!
Could have swore blind that I saw Tana Umagaga with his trade mark hairstyle score a try but thought I was mistaken as did not see him listed on the team sheets. Thrilled to discover that indeed it was him as stated on the Tigers event report. A real bonus

Sapajo
You were not mistaken.
Great afternoon - Highest attendance at any Rugby match this weekend according to Radio Leicester - says it all really.
As for Spreaders, I wish he was still reffing. Better than most we have seem in the premiership.
