Your all time Tigers XV

Post by Iain »

Because why not.

I'm picking players only from when I started going to games, which was 1994. As good as I'm led to believe Wheeler, Cusworth, Woodward, Dodge et al were, they can't be included for me.

Oh and letters. None of this forced numbers rubbish.

O Geordan Murphy
N Alesana Tuilagi
M Will Greenwood
L Pat Howard
K Rory Underwood
J Joel Stransky
I Austin Healey
A Graham Rowntree
B Richard Cockerill
C Darren Garforth
D Martin Johnson
E Fritz van Heerden
F Lewis Moody
G Dean Richards
H Neil Back

Well as it's a modern team, we must be allowed some replacements, probably have all the Tuillagis on the bench along with our current front row and Lote Tuquiri.

Dorian West gets on the bench well before Tom Youngs or George Chuter.

3 Dan Coles for Front Row
2 Martin Johnsons for second row
2 Lewis Moody's as flankers
I Dean Richards at 8
7 Geordan Murphys in backs

That would do for my starting 15
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

I'd have to have a back three comprising of Murphy, Tuilagi and Stimpson (for the last minute 60m kicks!).

Either that or you slot Andy Goode into the team... I seem to remember he did quite well at 15 when Jaco v d W played 10...

...I'll get my coat! :smt003

(on a serious note, Andy Goode at his 2004-2005 best, pre-Lions - which Stuart Barnes tipped him to be a possible squad member, would be a good shout at 10, with Ollie Smith outside him). :smt001
