As good a team as we could put out I reckon, hope they put their thermals on!

Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.
Re: Teams up
So where did the axe fall, Crane? Was he the only senior figure cockers was referring to?
Re: Teams up
Looks good, I'd like to see hawkins starting, or is he not fully fit?

Re: Teams up
Disappoined Mafi is injured and Micky Young is not given the chance to start.
Also what does Slater need to do to get a start!
A strong looking Bath team, although no Hipkiss or Vesty....could be very close!

Re: Teams up
Just what I was thinking. The props were always going to go straight into the team. Ditto Allen for Bowden. After that, there aren't many improvements/changes left to make, until others are fit or back from internationals...LE18 wrote:So where did the axe fall, Crane? The only change made is the one most people have been asking for/expecting for several weeks now ? (although Slater or Mafi rather than DeaconB would have been my choice at 6.)
So why did Cockers make that remark ?
(I'm guessing that changes at 2, 4 and 9 must have been looked at as well, but decided against...)
Re: Teams up
It'll be interesting to see how Agulla gets on against us and also what sort of reception he gets from the crowd (I'm thinking it'll be very symathetic & welcoming )
Re: Teams up
I am nonplussed? This is the axe falling? Or just one of Cockers' Leveson moments ('Yes, I know I said something needed doing, but I'm not doing it!')

Re: Teams up
The team needs a leader and for whatever reason Geordie is on the bench, so Louis Deacon is an obvious choice. Mafi, fluffy and Goneva are injured, so who else was going to make the team? Slater for Kitch maybe, but the rest pretty much pick themselves.

Re: Teams up
Think we should have the nudge on in the forwards but the backs are pretty evenly matched, and i also do not understand what Ed Slater has to do to get a start , he has been outstanding for tigers in nearly all but a few of his games, I see him and Kitch as our long term lock duo and see Ed as a potential future captain due to his lead from the front attitude, but hey what do i know
Re: Teams up
With all due respect to Brett Deacon I am staggered that he has been picked ahead of Slater who has been excellent every time he has played this season?!!
Is Hamilton injured?!

Re: Teams up
One can only assume the thinking is, Slater offers more flexibility from the bench, but only if he is used.kpj tiger wrote:Think we should have the nudge on in the forwards but the backs are pretty evenly matched, and i also do not understand what Ed Slater has to do to get a start , he has been outstanding for tigers in nearly all but a few of his games, I see him and Kitch as our long term lock duo and see Ed as a potential future captain due to his lead from the front attitude, but hey what do i know
