Re: Castro on Twitter
I think it's a good thing that Castro is unhappy at being 2nd choice - providing he channels that energy into improving his current form and forcing his way back into the team.

Re: Castro on Twitter
Castro can complain all he likes but he is not the player he was 2 seasons ago - for whatever reason - He struggles against any decent prop and only just copes with the average ones.
If French teams want him for big money then we should snap their hand off and so should he.
I would say he is now our 3rd choice Tighthead behind - Cole and Loggo and if Loggo was not injured I would have him strting before Castro in this period.
I have been one of Castro's biggest fans but there is no room for sentiment in the modern game. Just as we did with moody we need to ship him on to who ever are handing out retirement packages - we cannot afford an idle and large chunk out of the salary cap.
I went to Saints a couple of weeks ago to watch and support Glasgow and they have a guy called Kusak who handled Mujati much better than Castro - He is a Yorkshireman who came from Doncaster and looks a handy scrummager - I think Scotland are after him on residency but I think he will go where the money is - we would do well to look in that direction - meanwhile I think Loggo is a very able substitute for the waning Italian(may his beard grow long and his restaurant prosper in his old age!)

Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
Re: Castro on Twitter
Well I should hope so, given that Castro and Mujati are both tightheads and wouldn't actually go head-to-head against each other.mightymouse wrote:I went to Saints a couple of weeks ago to watch and support Glasgow and they have a guy called Kusak who handled Mujati much better than Castro

Wouldn't that be interesting to know !Old Hob wrote:But who was he swearing at so rudely in his tweet? Another tweeter?
To quote Ray Gravell - You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

The quoted tweet has been edited. Users will know that acronyms of swearwords & obscenities are not permitted on here, even if quoted by Tigers players :)Old Hob wrote:But who was he swearing at so rudely in his tweet? Another tweeter?

But rather late by the naive; plus for those who didn't know , you have given the game away:
Your post should have read as I have amended it

I had not noticed that particular term until alerted by another user. When alerted I removed it.

Wow. That's now twice my posts have been edited in recent days.
At least I got an explanation for this one, even if I don't agree.

Could even be racial discrimination!
? are moderators a race? Or a breed?
Still keeping the faith!
Re: Castro on Twitter
Are some of you for real? castro has been one of our best players over the last 5 years, a slight drop in form and a huge rise in form from cole, who in my opinion has one of the best techniques in rugby. I am sure its just a blip and given a bit of game time will come back to his best.
With Castro turning down huge contracts in France to show some loyalty, which is almost unheard of these day to listen to all this talk of him being washed up is an insult to him. and shows how little you actually know about rugby and Leicester tigers
