I got some really great quality sweets in in case, but being in a village, no little pumpkins came round. No little pumpkins ever come round. I love halloween, same every year, eating a dark choccy bounty as I type.

I have two terriers who bark fiecely at the slightest thing.

Mine was a trick or treat free zone.

Stupid bit of toss made up my Americans who have not much history.

Samhain though, is possibly more valid than lots of organised religions.
Kicks and scrums and ruck and roll.....Is all my brain and body need!

Rizzo is here :)

Despite the rain & wind, I was outside for a while doing stuff, having decorated the front window & carved my pumpkin lantern on Tuesday night (I was working yesterday & not home until about 5.45). Had some fab new black carved candles sent to me by a friend in the US which were scented with patchouli - doubly nice. Had photos of my departed loved ones on the table with candles around too, it's a time to welcome ancestors and spirits of those who have gone.

Had the usual neighbourhood kids - mostly with parents accompanying - and one group from up the road declared "we love your window decorations..but where's the girl who always dresses up? She always looks amazing." Had to tell them my daughter was still away at University but she was chuffed to find out how much people remember her costumes. (This year they just had me in purple velvet dress & a veil).

9Pm decorations down, lights and candles out, curtains drawn & time to reflect on the passing of another year into the winter days and to look forward to Yule!
Don't waste your time away thinking about yesterday's blues
