Seeing a Tigers shirt when you don't expect it.

Post by byrontiger »

I live on the south coast and often see London shirts and on the odd occasion a Bath shirt. However, in all my 20+ years here I have never seen a Tigers shirt.

Then on Monday a chap ran across the road in front of my car. I had to brake. Who are you Newlands Road, Worthing near Wenban Smith/ Morrisons?
And their revenge is as the tiger's spring,
Deadly, and quick and crushing.

Was it a handsome chap in the prime of life wearing a Bradstone sponsored home shirt ?.....

My brother lives in Worthing & I try to provide xmas/birthday presents to his whole family of Tigers shirts, etc

I shall ask that they all wear them more often when out locally - just for you :smt023

JayC didn't get a very good look at him I'm afraid (I'd be useless in a police line up!).
It was just so nice to see a Tiger's shirt out of the blue like that. I don't wear mine much down here. That may change.....
Will say 'hello' to all people seen locally :smt023

I used to wear my Tigers shirts in Worthing. Always had one on when I was in town to watch the internationals between 97 and 2003.
Not been back there since then though, so not guilty of jaywalking.

My most bizarre recognition of my shirt yet was the stewardess on the Air Alaska flight from Seattle to Victoria in British Columbia - she greeted me like a long lost friend.

Two Tigers shirt at the Duke's Cut in Oxford, where I could watch 72 minutes of the game after I had witnesed the day before the complete demolishing of London Welsh by Stade Français (SF - 68 LW 19).

Had great exchanges with two fine rugby connoisseurs. They weren't too pleased with the outcome, of course so my English vocabulary was extended a bit further. Ooooh young Mr Ben Youngs, you should have taken the three points! :smt009

I see the odd people in Canterbury wearing a Tigers shirt, and was complimented on wearing one when I was in Wetherspoons a few weeks ago.

I was dropping off a paper in the law school when I was a student there and one of the staff commented on my jersey. I often saw him in the Monument on matchday, too.
