Blimey, didnt see that coming! Look on the bright side - people are always calling for changes to be made to the team - well you got them! :smt003 :smt003
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

There are some bizarre selections in there, surprised Morris isn't playing at 15 with bubbles on the wing, Crane in for Waldrom is a controversial choice, No Manu?? Bowden still not included even when we have centers missing???

Maybe we dont want to scare them this early in the season.

Could the absence of Manu be a compulsary rest due to England EPS regulations? Surely over the next few prem games we may see a few rested so that we do not have to rest them during the HC. This may be why Waldrom is benched and if Crane and Mafi can manage a full 80 then this would also count.

I have to admit im not expecting a win, Quins have their first choice XV playing and we now have several key players missing or not performing so far, I hope im proved wrong but i think Quins will edge a hard fought game in the last 5-10 mins

Possibly but seems strange that we would leave out our first choice outside centre against the Premiership Champions

Some bizarre choices. Waldrom has been one of our most consistent players and is dropped to the bench for Crane who is not playing well. Also worried about Manu's absence, I would presume it is an injury as we would never rest him at home against the reigning champions would we?

Hopefully this team can do the job and beat Quins but it is going to be a tough ask.

For Manu not to be in the 23 means he must be injured or ill.
Let's hope it's not serious!

Disappointed no Bowden.

Concerned about Crane instead of TTTE.

Looking forward to the game with fingers firmly crossed!!

Actually in some ways Crane is a better starter - to get the grunt done - and TTTE a better impact player. All depends when he comes on - 50th minute or 75th!

The other sly possibility is that he will be a late replacement for Morris or Thompson and then scare the life out of an underprepared Quins team!

Where did that come from no Manu or Bowden and no start for TTTE ? :smt009

Jordan Crane starts ahead of TTTE and Captains the side when his form is iffy at best? :smt012

Its simply astonishing and I fear for the outcome. Sincerely hope Manu is not injured and that this is some bad dream and all will be rectified for kick off! :smt023

Quins must be delighted :smt026

The idea of leaving Manu (if not by necessity) and Waldrom out might seem strange but it could mean the team functions more effectively.

Crane might be what Harrison needs. Waldrom might be a more complete player than Crane, but if Crane can incite Harrison (as a captain and No 8) then it might just happen to be a smart move bringing him in.

Quins have a strong midfield and Smith is probably more reliable defensively than Manu (and he's hardly inadequate going forward), so it won't necessarily make us weaker in midfield. Horses for courses.

Having both Morris and Hamilton playing shores up the defence against box kicks and Evans' kicking from hand; it's the nearest we can get to Murphy and Hamilton. I also think playing Hamilton at 15 makes sense - it's a more demanding role and it helps if you've got someone who has already got a feel for playing in the premiership this year.

This game could go either way, and bringing Manu and Waldrom back in wouldn't change that fact! And rotation can only be good for us in the long run...
