Saracens vs Tigers Saturday 15/09/12 3:30

Post by kornboy130 »

So we go in to this match looking in rude health in terms of what we're creating, but with something to be desired in terms of what we're finishing off.

Who is going? What do you expect the team will be? What do you expect the result will be?

I'll be there, and I'd also predict the following team:

1.Mulipola
2.Youngs
3.Cole
4.Kitchener
5.Parling
6.Mafi
7.Salvi
8.Waldrom
9.Young/Harrison
10.Flood
11.Goneva
12.Allen
13.Tuilagi
14.Hamilton
15.Murphy

16.Chuter
17.Stankovich
18.Castrogiovanni
19.Andrew
20.Crane
21.Harrison/Phibbs
22.Ford
23.Smith

Also what do we make of Benjamins none-involvement with the A-league - injury or involvement this weekend?

We should win with that team kornboy, just hope we spill less ball than last week. We have a good record against them away, so I'm quietly confident of a good result.

COME ON YOU TIGERRRRRRRRSSssssss

I would go with
1.Mulipola
2.Youngs
3.Cole
4.Kitchener
5.Parling
6.Mafi - Could put Waldrom at 6 and Crane at 8 with Mafi on bench as cover so we can bully sarries early on but doubt it will happen
7.Salvi
8.Waldrom
9.Harrison
10.Ford
11.Goneva
12.Allen
13.Tuilagi
14.Thompstone
15.Murphy

16.Chuter
17.Stankovich
18.Castrogiovanni
19.Andrew
20.Crane
21.Phibbs
22.Flood
23.Smith

Wot No Hamilton? I would have Hamilton in and try Thompstone on the bench and I would also keep TF in the starting XV and have Ford to the bench. Against the Safa's I think we need the best starting line up. Other than these, a great chance of a win with the above but I'm not expecting a TBP in this one.

Whilst I am confident of a Tigers win it will not be by a cricket score :smt001

I would choose Thompstone for his sheer physicality, plus he can slot in at 13 too, i would like to see him coming through the Fly half/Inside Center channels smashing Charlie Hodgson. And Ford has proven he can play well against sarries (Last seasons semi final), my only concern with ford is he has a tendency to fly up out the line and Ashton may target that gap

With this in mind then I think TF will be better suited than GF. Agree GF has proven he is up to the job, but in this one I would go with experience.

I would put Manu on the wing against Ashton. I noticed Manu has a very tiny strand of hair dangling at the back which Ashton may like to try pulling!!! I wonder if Manu has been practising his jab :smt003 :smt003
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

In our first two games this season we have played brilliantly and appallingly. We allowed Worcester to score 26 points which they did not deserve, for example. If we do the brilliant bits and cut out the appalling bits it will be a TBP win. In reverse it will be a TBP win for the South Africans

Tragically, yes. I do not know which of our teams will turn up - a thing that could never be said of Tigers in times past.
