I just think it's statistics.
When I was much younger, my brother and his mate ran a very tough youth club in Sneinton, Nottm. They actually had bouncers to keep the little tykes in order.
One Saturday daytime these boys had been playing football, and one of them scored and started thumping his chest in a joke "Tarzan" celebration, collapsed and died of a heart attack.
That evening this ramshackle bunch showed genuine grief. No platitudes, no flowers on lamp posts, no "RIP our thoughts are with.....", just complete horror at what had happened and some deep inner thinking.
Of course the news got no further than an inside page of the Nottingham Evening Post, because no one who knew him had ever been on TV.
