LV Cup prize money
Clearly winning the LV Cup is worth it's weight in gold for the confidence it gives the players and the fact that we have managed to give game time to develop so many of the squad etc, BUT does anyone know how much money it is worth to the club please?

I don't think there is much (if indeed any) prizemoney for winning the LV Cup.
The bulk of the money (ie TV & sponsor revenue) is distributed evenly across all participating teams.
Therefore while we may have "lost out" this year we have undoubtedly gained in other years when we have been knocked out in the pool stages but still gained revenue from the tournament.
The HC & the Prem are similarly tight on actual prize money for the winners.
In fact I think many clubs including Tigers have openly stated that they actually lose money by reaching the final (and even the SF) of the Heineken due to how revenue from those stages is distributed. From a purely business sense it would be in Tigers' best interests to reach the HC QFs & lose! That way we'd get a share of the ticket sales from the SF & Final but not have to pay out costs for travel etc to the later stages.
